Looking for a place where quality craftsmanship, honest work, and a team that has your back still matter?
Since 1993, Automan Collision & Repair has been helping Johnson City drivers get back on the road safely. We’re a locally and family-owned, I-CAR Gold Class body shop that takes pride in doing every repair the right way, the first time.
Whether you’re a seasoned collision professional or just starting out in the industry, we’d love to hear from you.
More Than a Body Shop. A Johnson City Family Business.
Automan Collision & Repair started as a small, family-owned shop in Johnson City with one simple belief: every vehicle deserves expert care and precision. More than 30 years later, that belief still drives everything we do.
We’ve grown into one of the area’s most trusted collision repair centers, earning I-CAR Gold Class status and recognition as a consistent Reader’s Choice Award winner. But we’ve never stopped being a local, family business. Our roots are here, and so is our commitment to the people who work alongside us.
The values that guide how we treat our customers also guide how we treat our team: integrity, excellence, and a genuine sense of community.
Why Work at Automan?
There are a lot of places to work in collision repair. Here’s what makes Automan different:
Do the Work the Right Way
We're an independent shop with No DRP agreements, which means we're not pressured to cut corners to meet an insurance company's cycle-time or cost targets. Our loyalty is to the customer and to a safe, correct repair. If you take pride in your work and believe the details matter, you'll fit right in.
Train With an I-CAR Gold Class Team
I-CAR Gold Class is one of the highest training standards in the collision industry, and it's something we work to maintain every year. Vehicles keep changing, with new materials, ADAS safety systems, and repair procedures, and we invest in the training that keeps our team ready for them.
Work in a Modern Facility
We may be a single-location family shop, but our facility and equipment are built for today's vehicles. You'll have the tools and technology you need to do quality work and be proud of the result.
Keep Your Weekends
Our shop runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and we're closed on weekends. That means consistent hours and time to spend with your family.
Be Part of the Community
As a locally owned business, we’re deeply involved in Johnson City and the Tri-Cities area. When you join Automan, you’re joining a team that’s known and trusted by the neighbors we serve.
What We Offer Our Team
- Consistent schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekends off.
- Ongoing training: Support to grow your skills and stay current with I-CAR training and OEM repair procedures.
- Modern tools and equipment: A well-equipped facility built for today’s vehicles.
- Stable, established shop: More than 30 years in business and a strong reputation in Johnson City.
- Family atmosphere: A team where people know your name and your work is noticed.
A Team Where the Owner Is Here Every Day
At Automan, leadership isn’t in a corporate office in another state. [CONFIRM OWNER NAME] is at the shop, involved in the work, and personally invested in the quality of every repair and the experience of every customer.
That means the people responsible for the Automan name are the same people you’ll work alongside every day. Your ideas are heard, your questions get answered, and your effort doesn’t go unnoticed.
